Hamburg Blues Band: Mad Dog Blues

Gert Lange (voc, g), Bexi Becker (b) und Hansi Wallbaum (dr) entlocken ihrem Briten-Triumvirat Energie und Sensibilität: Adrian Askew, mit brodelnder Hammond und E-Piano, verhilft „Can´t Last Forever“ zu 70s-Funk-Feeling, spielt auf „I Sing The Blues No More“ das schönste Synth-Solo seit Stevie Wonder. Passende Temptations-Licks liefert Clem Clempson, Colosseum-Kollege Chris Farlowe hat mehr Power als auf FARLOWE THAT. Clempson steht überall für irre Solo-Highlights, singt „It Ain´t Right“ in Allmans-Nähe souverän und klar. Alle Neutitel schuf die HBB mit Cream-Poet Pete Brown, setzt Melancholie im Blues „Into The Night“ gekonnt um. Nicht nur hier bleibt Lange neben Farlowe ein grandioser Sänger. Special Guest: Maggie Bell mit „Wishing Well“.
